Maghull Schools & Community Groups – Can You Make Art out of our Plastic Bottle Tops?

Hopefully, you will know that the plastic bottle tops that the community collect for Rainbow the recycling rhinoceros have been amazingly upcycled, can you do the same, we will be delighted to support you?

Local students have already upcycled the tops into:

  • beautiful uplifting mosaic artwork created over the last year by Maghull High School and Southport Art College. They have been installed & displayed as community art between Morrison’s and Boots.
  • equally beautiful functional objects, in which Neston High School’s Design & Technology department has won scientific awards by creating machinery to clean, shred, melt and refashion our plastic bottle tops into fruit bowls, plant pots, key rings and much more.

If any local schools or community groups (please share) would like to have some of our plastic bottle tops to make their own creative projects, then we would love to hear from you, simply e-mail the Friends Of Maghull & District (FOMD) at admin@fomd.co.uk or phone 07507759813.

Bumbles Children’s Nursery have already been in touch. We have plenty to go around.  We regularly empty the rhinoceros every two months and when full it holds 100,000 bottle tops!

Please get in touch we are looking forward to hearing from you. FOMD
