Three Events Create One Day of Magic for Maghull: Christmas Festivities and Royal Tree Presentation (30.11.22).

Christmas Festivities

Next Wednesday (30.11.22) Christmas starts with a Christmas Market Fayre in Maghull Town Hall between 14.00 and 18.30hrs. Followed at 18:30 hours by Christmas carols and the lighting of the Christmas Tree by the Mayor of Maghull, on the neighbouring KGV Field.

Royal Tree Presentation

For the early birds! At 09:30 hours (30,11,22), at Bobby’s Wood/Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway L31 7BG) the late Queen’s local representative the Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside and colleagues will be presenting a prestigious Royal tree in recognition of the recent community planting of 15,000 trees in Maghull by the community and organised by the Friends of Maghull and District (FOMD CIC).

The Royal tree is one of 350 native trees that formed part of the huge Queen’s Green Canopy Platinum Jubilee art installation at Buckingham Palace, known as the ‘Tree of Trees’. Microsoft Word – QGC Media Release – The Tree of Trees FINAL.docx (queensgreencanopy.org)

Everyone is welcome to attend, particularly the amazing people who have supported the tree planting to help both climate action and improve our environment.
