The super friendly community orientated BBC Radio Merseyside organised an interview with the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) as a follow-up from 6.9.22 when we along with three other nominees were shortlisted for the BBC ‘Make a Difference’ Awards, that to our astonishment we won a few weeks later! The warm interview was simply to catch up on progress and discuss the unprecedented cleanup and investment at Rowlands Dell.

If you would like to hear FOMD members John Lewis and Dr Frank Sharp being interviewed by Tony Snell over 10 minutes, it was broadcast on BBC Radio Merseyside on Monday (7.10.24) Tony Snell Show. The 10-minute interview in the link for 10 minutes beginning at 22mins 34secs into the show, but you may need to download BBC Sounds to play it.

It was a lovely interview which helps to put Maghull & FOMD on the map, whilst hopefully encouraging and inspiring volunteering more broadly in our community.

The picture is of Harriet Gulliver (producer), Tony Snell (presenter) and the wonderfully eloquent John. Frank (not pictured).

All the Best,

FOMD

Together Making Maghull a better place to live.
