The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) & the Maghull Town Council are trying to do our very best to support vulnerable residents in Maghull and would be enormously grateful if you could inform those in need about (1) our Monday afternoon warm space known as the Cosy Club and (2) the new Advice Centre to provide them with much needed support in difficult times. Both services are volunteer run and we would love to hear from any residents who could benefit and any interested volunteers by ringing Maghull Town Council on 0151.526.3705 or to contact the Advice Centre please use 0151-245-3895.

The Cosy Club has been running for the last two years with successful FOMD grant applications amounting to £7000, which provides 70 residents with the most successful warm hub in Sefton, by providing a delicious warm meal, brilliant entertainment (musicians, board games, bingo), signposting to other daily warm spaces but most importantly really good company.

The Advice Centre, is an amazing transformation from a toilet block behind Costa Coffee, undertaken miraculously by Maghull Town Council supported by a successful FOMD £6500 grant to provide digital equipment and services for two years. The centre is a much-needed community asset for vulnerable residents but is sometimes underused due to difficulties raising awareness. Consequently, we would be incredibly indebted for any support you can provide.

Best Wishes,

FOMD.

Together Making Maghull a better place to live.
