The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) is only represented by a handful of amazing volunteers who have been striving to ‘Make Maghull a Better Place to Live’ which would be impossible without being able to galvanise our community into shared action. So it is with immense pride and gratitude that our shared actions have been recognised by a prestigious group of judges representing the King and Queen’s Royal Voluntary Service resulting in being chosen as one of 500 successful nominees from 5000 applicants, from which a few were chosen to either attend a garden party in Buckingham Palace or the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle.
With your grateful support we received a Coronation champion certificate & pin, and received two free seated tickets to attend the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle on Sunday. The weather was brilliant, the sights were iconic, and the entertainment and atmosphere were unforgettable.
With huge thanks to you all for making this possible and an extra thank you to John Roberts (Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside) for his kind of nomination.
