As you will be aware from the previous updates we are now getting tantalisingly close to installing the delayed final components of this project, involving the rhinoceros sculpture and the noticeboard. The magnificently completed galvanised mesh recycling rhinoceros sculpture, was brought to the site (pictured) on the 29.4.21 by Castle Foundry to determine its future position for fixing in relation to the early landscaping work undertaken by Spacecare. Chris Butler and his business partner Chris Jones and his wife and designer Cintia brought the sculpture.

We were joined by Vicky Poole and Ian Robertson (Spacecare) who are generously undertaking the landscaping work for free and keen to identify suitable fixing points and the appropriate design within resources.

We were also joined by Maghull Town Council Leader and deputy – Patrick McKinley and John Sayers, including his wife and fellow councillor Yvonne. We were all absolutely delighted with the outcome which extended to the many passers-by who were intrigued delighted in equal measure and took photographs and one gentleman who very kindly donated £20 on the spot.
