Last week the Woodend Community Woodland Three-Year Project we were surprised (1) to receive a year-long charity partnership donation of £1051.52, which we ploughed straight into purchasing bulbs and plants for the community border (2).
However, today when the Friends of Maghull and District (FOMD and the immensely supportive Phil Dillon – MTC Community Services Manager) were officially receiving our cheque, in the Co-op, from Becky Wickstead (Store Manager) and Karen Egleton (Co-op Pioneer Charity Coordinator), the amazing news was confirmed that the final year of our Woodend project has been chosen alongside two other fantastic local charities to be partners with the Co-op until October 2022. We feel privileged and are immensely grateful and to all the staff and customers for your incredible support.
