Parkbourn Project. A huge thank you to Tim (local resident) who helped FOMD for our one hour initiative (23.5.23), on the rear service road behind Parkbourn Square, Maghull (L31 1JD). We cut back the encroaching weeds from the neighbouring areas, and weeded the outer border. Tim also donated a small amount of wood chipping for the border and his wife (Emily) made us a rejuvenating brew! Thanks also to Ian (local resident) for denoting his cherry tree, which will need some TLC before planting later in the year

This was originally our first community project in 2018 which transformed an antisocial, fly tipping grot spot into a tranquil oasis. Currently, the bug hotel and teapot bird boxes are not in use but is one of the wooden bird boxes is now a home for an active beehive! The area surrounding the bug hotel is again starting to flourish with wildflowers with the addition of yellow rattle wildflowers which are a fantastic invasive plant against competing grass. We need to revisit here one more time to replace the dead grass on the bug hotel with recycled artificial grass, finish the weeding and spread the wood chippings
