The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) would like to thank the new Mayor of Maghull – Cllr Ken Hughes and a new young town councillor Matthew Locke for risking life and limb strimming the giant nettles back, to make a public pathway accessible again and reducing the tenacious wall ivy (29.6.23) within our next huge crowdfunding project that we are calling the NHS Maghull Wellness Dell (www.fomd.co.uk updates under the Projects Tab and kind donations under ‘donations’ please specify ‘Dell’ when paying).
What made their support even more exceptional was that Ken as usual had returned from his daily gruelling work in the Lake District, as a stonemason and Matthew had helped following a day at University. They have been undertaking similar outstanding tasks several times a week all over Maghull for several years now, for which we are immensely grateful as a community for their selfless inspirational work.
