DURING this year’s tree planting season from November 2020 to March 2021, 8,917 trees have been planted in Maghull by volunteers. This was achieved through collaboration with the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD), Maghull Town Council (MTC) and Mersey Forest (MF). Negotiations started in April 2019 and were brought about following FOMD’s Stafford Moreton Way environmental charity project (2019/21) which led to contact with MF, and considerable planning over the last two years.
