IT’S not just reduced traffic that Maghull residents will be thankful for after the new M58 slip roads opened last week, because the major roadworks scheme has also led to improvements for nearby community projects. As part of the planning application, construction company John Sisk & Sons has carried out work to give a boost to local groups and schools. This has included re-surfacing the playground at Hudson Primary School nursery, providing labour to plant and excavate ponds at Lunt Meadows and supply materials for a wooden fence at Bobby’s Wood. Cllr Frank Sharp said: “I would like to express a huge thank you to John Sisk & Sons for their unacknowledged philanthropic community”.
