The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) have started our first two one-hour sessions at our new Dell Project (the wood opposite the Hare & Hounds Pub) over the last two consecutive Saturdays, and after the area was completely strimmed it exposed decades of rubbish. Consequently, we have now collected 50 bags of litter, a huge array of debris and three agricultural bags of tree and wall damaging Ivy.

So far, we’ve had a good turnout from invaluable volunteers and a huge amount of positive feedback from passers-by, which is a measure of not only the improvements, but the sites valued and cherished nature, at the heart of Maghull.

Next Up:

We will meet for one hour at 10 o’clock next Saturday (28.10.23) The Dell which is in the wooded area across the road from the Hare & Hounds Pub on Liverpool Rd North, Maghull.

On this occasion we are continuing to remove the ivy which is damaging the trees and walls.

Consequently, please bring garden gloves, litter secateurs, loppers, tree saw, axe, sheers and check our website’s events page for any changes or further information at https://www.fomd.co.uk/event/maghulls-massive-clean-up-%e2%99%ab-the-litter-the-ivy-%e2%99%ab/

With Huge Thanks for an amazing, continued transformation,

FOMD
