If you would like to create a great festive atmosphere in Maghull & Lydiate and also have the opportunity to win free family tickets to see the Everyman Theatre’s fantastic Cinderella panto please encourage/support your school to enter the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) competition.
Last year, we helped St George’s Primary School create a fantastic straw bale Father Christmas, reindeer family and Christmas post box (pictured) but this year we want to encourage all our schools to be involved.
To win please encourage your school to create a Festive or Nativity display, preferably outside but inside will be considered. Our hope is that these displays will enhance the festive atmosphere both for the schools and the wider community.

Simply send FOMD an email to declare your interest in taking part, then contact us again when your display is complete, and we will judge it soon afterwards and the winner will be notified on the 15.12.23. It’s about joining in not necessarily winning, to help create a terrific festive atmosphere, for the school and the wider community.

You could create this display which is simply made from rounded planks of wood, carpet and tea towels. Inspired from Pinterest but looks brilliant looks brilliant.
