The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) successfully secured a grant for £6500 earlier this year to pay for digital equipment to support local residents to learn how to get online for a variety of needs. We had a small underspend which the funders have kindly agreed to let us use for further digital equipment, on the Black Friday Sales, to pay for a large portable display monitor and accessories to support education and provide information.
It is part of an amazing Maghull Town Council Advice Centre and Community Hub, which opened in February to support residents during the cost-of-living crisis and they would welcome any suggestions to shape this community resource which belongs to the people. It is situated behind Costa Coffee on Leighton Avenue and is open between 10 and 4, Monday to Friday. Please pop in and say hello to the warm and welcoming volunteers and staff or ring 0151 245 3895.
