A huge thank you to Pam (Maghull resident) who kindly donated a mature pot grown wedding layer cake tree (Cornus controversa), last year outside the planting season and patiently waited until this month for us to plant it (21.12.22) on our Stafford Moreton Way Project. Hopefully, it will be a marriage made in heaven!
We are hoping to recycle stakes and guards for similar donations, from several trees around Maghull where the trees have outgrown their guards and stakes and are actually causing harm to the trees.
