Thank you to Sandy Lane Nursery (pictured) for providing the Friends of Maghull and District (FOMD) with a 10% discount on the woodland themed shrubs and 2000 daffodil/bluebell bulbs. We utilised the year-long crowd funded donations (1), specifically for the large 50×4 border we have created, following the removal of debris/weeds (Feb 2020) and the provision of the path (March 2021) requiring inviting points of wild life friendly interest. All this is taking place at Bobby’s Wood/Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South/Northway).

In the meantime, we have started a fresh appeal for unwanted woodland themed plants between October 2021 and March 2022, to be planted in the Bobby’s Wood/Woodend border or a refresh of our first project (2018) in Parkbourn. Please contact: woodendcwp@gmail.com and continued updates can be found at: www.spacehive.com/woodend Local Climate change action: If you would like to express an interest in local tree planting events (between November 2021- March 2022), as many of you did last year when you helped to plant 8000 in Maghull (!), please contact us on woodendcwp@gmail.com

Some people came for one hour, others brought young families, others stayed longer, but every little bit helped and really made a difference.

Best Wishes,
