Huge Thanks.
We would like to thank the community again for all their ‘out of this world support’ at Woodend. On Wednesday, we planted nine huge (4m and 100kg) cherry and crabapple trees on the outer border of Woodend that look amazing and even better when they blossom in spring, building on the blossom Avenue at the rear border.

Consequently, The Friends of Maghull and District CIC (FOMD CIC) would like to express our gratitude to the following:

Tree Planting Support.

JA Jones Tree Nursery (Marc and Chris), for their advice, support and 2.5 % charity discount.

The Tree Council (Geraldine), for their £1,546 grant which pays for everything apart from the VAT (paid by FOMD from our community donations).

Maghull Town Council maintenance team (Alex, Paul, Jono, Joe, Rob) for helping to prepare the holes and supporting the planting.

Mersey Forest (Ben) for the tree planting education and continued amazing support.

Our neighbouring Bumbles Children’s Nursery (Rachel & Jess), and our little helpers.

The 12th Maghull Scout Group (Ian, Sandra & Others) for their lovely support with the planting.

FOMD Members and Volunteers (Ian, John) for their amazing help with the planting.

Shrub Donations.
Local residents (Steve and Lorraine) who undertake garden clearances and have donated even more shrubs this planting season, following on from last year. Many thanks for your kindness.

In addition, many thanks to local residents Steve & Sue, and Chris and Dee, for their amazing promised shrubs, weather and time permitting.

Finally, thank you to everyone for their fantastic motivational feedback and perhaps the best feedback is through the increased amount of people now visiting.

Can You Help?
If you would like to help save the planet and improve our local environment with some tree planting before the end of tree planting season in March, we would welcome any time you can spare. Please contact: woodendcwp@gmail.com
