The Friends of Maghull and District would like to thank St Georges United Reformed Church (on Northway, opposite Iceland) for their invaluable support when we were constructing the crowd funded Cotswold style path at Bobby’s Wood/Woodend (the junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway). We are particularly grateful to Rev Catherine McFie and churchwardens Jenni & Geoff Howe.
They allowed us to securely store materials and machinery in their gated site, every night during the installation. They were even prepared to store tons of aggregate material which we found an alternative solution for in the end. However, without their support it might have made the project almost impossible.
Throughout our engagement we have found them to be enormously friendly and keen to support the local community, evidenced by the wealth of community groups that are undertaken on their property despite limited resources. A thank you video link is available here: https://youtu.be/E6dsg4oiMsw
Please Help Us to Continue Improving the Environment in Maghull.
We need your kind donations to reach our £3/5,000 October target, which currently stands at £700. Our aim is to populate a 50×4 border with woodland themed planting at Bobby’s Wood/Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway).
