We would like to convey our huge gratitude to Paul and Harry Richards (father and son local tree surgeons (1)) for their ongoing generous donations of wood chippings for the Friends of Maghull & Districts (FOMD) (2) various environmental projects throughout Maghull.

This week they have provided nearly 9t of wood chippings for FOMD to spread around some of the 2000 trees that we planted last year, in the grounds of Hudson primary school with the support of the children and community, as part of the ‘One Hour for Maghull’ initiative The wood chippings act as an amazingly attractive mulch that helps to maintain hydration and suppress competitive weeds.

We can’t commend them enough, not only for their kind donations, but for their friendly, informative, and professional manner that they approach their work.
