A huge 146t of soil were relentlessly/tirelessly excavated and replaced with a further 146t of materials to form the natural Cotswold path in the Bobby’s Wood/Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway), as part of the Friends of Maghull and District (FOMD) Environmental Charity Project (phase 1of 3), by the amazing philanthropic Ashworth Hospital Gardeners, led by Paul Pruden (Head Gardener).

Surprisingly Paul discovered two huge hollow areas at the rear of the site, to somehow magically lose 146 ton of soil. We raked out and removed tons of rocks and debris that had been brought to the surface, grass seeded the area twice in April and May, to reveal an almost seamless area of grass (pictured).

We are now in stage II of our crowdfunding and really needs your support to build on this amazing work so far, to stock the 50x4m rear border.

Please Help Us to Continue Improving the Environment in Maghull. We need your kind donations to reach our £3/5,000 October target, which currently stands at £485. Our aim is to populate a 50×4 border with woodland themed planting at Bobby’s Wood/Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway).
