One of the many memorable events at the unveiling of the Friends of Maghull & Districts (FOMD) ‘Community Kindness’ art installation at Woodend, was the appearance of Father Christmas. He gave 70 selection boxes to each of the children that attended, whilst one of the most endearing images was the glee and excited astonishment of the children waving frantically to each other from the neighbouring windows of Bumbles Nursery.
We would like to thank:
  • Father Christmas (Mike Jones, Maghull and Aughton Rotary, who at short notice stepped in for Bernard who was unwell) and his helper Ian Agnew (Rotary). Best wishes to Bernard for a speedy recovery and thank you in advance for all the mobile and static Christmas float visits throughout Maghull, to bring good cheer and raise funds for so many worthy charities.
  • Bernice (Morrison’s Community Champion) who kindly paid for 20 boxes and gave a 10% discount on the remaining 50.
  • Ken Hughes (Mayor of Maghull) who personally donated £30
  • Maghull Town Council who also contributed £30
Merry Christmas,
FOMD.
Together making Maghull a better place to live.
