Father and son (Derek and Jonathan) co-founder owners of Gorse Hill nature reserve, on our doorstep near Ormskirk. They are not only a force of nature but an absolute inspiration for nature and FOMD. They have been the source of many of our ideas, provided advice and even supported/created our rustic welcome sign at Woodend. Even though Derek is into his 90s his passion for nature remains undiminished, whilst Jonathan who holds a degree in ecology provides equal passion. Due to Derek’s strong attachment from childhood onwards to Maghull he created the beautiful rustic welcome signage at our Woodend project.
Please pay them a visit at their first opening session of the year and I’m sure you’ll be overwhelmed by this inspiring family friendly natural eco-educational oasis.
