The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) were absolutely delighted to be awarded the Maghull Town Council Civic Award for the Environment, at the Town Hall Award Ceremony on Wednesday (21.2.24).

We are only a small group of local residents who formed in 2019, and have been punching above our weight, by galvanising support from everyone in our community. Although we put an enormous amount of work in 24/7, it is only with your kind support that we can make Maghull a better place to live. Consequently, this award is for all of you, whether you have attended, donated or given a motivational thank you.

Our community is really blessed, with lots of fantastic individual and group volunteers, some of whom were heart-warmingly highlighted on the night and many others in our community. All of whom provide inspirational kindness.

I would like to send a special thank you to everyone in our group for being so enormously helpful, super friendly, good-humoured and endlessly kind, often undertaking multiple volunteering roles outside FOMD. It is a special honour and a privilege to know you all.

If you would like to find out about our projects (see projects tab), achievements or would like to volunteer for one of our twice-weekly one hour, noncommitment sessions (see Events Tab) please visit our website at www.fomd.co.uk
