Your Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) have another one-hour session, that you can simply drop into without any commitment, to help make a positive difference to yourself and the local environment.

On Wednesday (24.4.24) at 09.30 hrs. Any time you can spare would really be appreciated. We will be meeting at our Woodend Community Woodland Project (Bobby’s Wood) at the junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway, next to Bumble’s Children’s Nursery (L31 7BG)

We are taking a break from the midweek tree maintenance of 16,000 trees, and will be focusing on weeding a beautiful 50×4 m border that we created three years ago with 500 plant donations from the local community. The border is bulging with bluebells so we will be removing some small brambles but mainly ground elder in the gaps.

Equipment needed: All you will need to bring are garden gloves and either a large or small garden fork or hoe.

Thank You for Your Kind Support in our last mid-week session (Tuesday 4.4.24) in which we achieved the following:

  • We were able to complete the maintenance of the 465 trees in the final tree enclosure at Old Hall Park.

With huge thanks to the amazing volunteers: Colin (Monty Col!), Jill, Joan and Frank.

We hope you can help; it will really make a big difference. However, even if you cannot help out, come and have a look, you will be amazed.

Many Thanks,

FOMD
