Your Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) have another one-hour session, that you can simply drop into without any commitment, to help make a positive difference to yourself and the local environment.

On Thursday (16.5.24) at 09.30 hrs (*please check our website Events section for any changes, more info and future events, at www.fomd.co.uk). Any time you can spare will be really fantastic. We will be meeting at our Woodend Community Woodland Project (Bobby’s Wood) at the junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway, next to Bumble’s Children’s Nursery (L31 7BG)

This midweek opportunity will be focusing on weeding and planting more  donated shrubs in Maghull’s most beautiful and largest community Woodland themed border that we created three years ago with your help involving 500 plant donations from the local community.

Equipment needed: All you will need to bring are garden gloves and either a large or small garden fork or hoe.

Thank You for Your Kind Support & Donations in our previous mid-week session On Thursday (9.5.24) in which this we achieved the following:

  • Removed one agricultural bags of weeds from the border and the two rockery’s and transplanted some small shrubs around the community kindness art installation rockery.
  • Planted a large array of (pictured) conifers, Hebes (kindly donated with much gratitude by Michelle and Lee) lilies, Crocosmia, and Hosta (gratefully donated by Emily).

With many thanks to Jill (pictured) Ros and Frank.

We hope you can help; it will really make a big difference. However, even if you cannot help out, come and have a look, you will be amazed at the natural beauty and tranquillity that has been created and blossoming (with bluebells, daffodils, tulips, and blossoming cherry, crabapple and laburnum tree boulevards) at its best, and on your doorstep.

Many Thanks,

FOMD
