Following the previous brilliant rockery donations (1) the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) would like to convey a huge thank you to: Jan and her mother (Eastway) and Les (Moss Lane) for their latest rockery donations. In addition, a special thank you to Alex Spencer and his MTC amenities team who picked up the last four rocks that were too heavy for us.
They have now got pride of place in the huge 50×4 ongoing border (at Bobby’s Wood/Woodend near Liverpool Road South/Northway) that has been stocked so far by over 200 free shrubs from the community during the dormant growth period in November/March.
In the meantime, we have raised £475 towards the October target of £3000/£5000 we need to complete this border for the community, to increase the interest from the previously crowd funded and newly installed Cotswold style path (2).
