We would like to express our gratitude to Andrea Watkins (Manager), her staff and customers at Morrisons for helping to raise £257 over the last 18 months from our collection containers, to support our Woodend Community Woodland Crowdfunding Project, to help make green improvements to the entrance of Maghull at Bobby’s Wood, Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway).
Despite the fact that customers, had limited access and were mostly using contactless payments, twinned with their unimaginable resilient challenges that the business must have been going through during the pandemic restrictions, we are really grateful. Unenviably, they really have been front-line workers during this period which as a community we have a debt of gratitude.

Our project is a three-year plan with different funding objectives for each year (introduced on a video on our two crowd funding webpages: www.spacehive.com/woodend https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/woodend .
The first year achieved our objectives of creating a safe perimeter and an accessible path, whilst this year (the second year) has been about raising funds to populate the huge borders with woodland themed planting.
We have also created a video to say thank you to as many people as we can and showing the achievements so far, which is available at https://youtu.be/E6dsg4oiMsw
Online donations to support our October target can still be made until the end of the month (Sunday!) at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/woodend
If you would like to donate a woodland themed plant please use the contact: woodendcwp@gmail.com
Thank you once again and best wishes to you all
