We are delighted to announce that the Friends of Maghull & District CIC (FOMD) with the immeasurable support of Phil Dillon (MTC Community Services Manager) have successfully obtained a Warm Space Grant from Sefton CVS, amounting to £3950.

This money will fully fund the continuation of what was considered the most successful warm space initiative in Sefton, in collaboration with MTC, The Venue, our amazing volunteers and the wonderful local resident recipients.

Last year we successfully obtained £3110 which provided the tastiest of meals, board games, live entertainment, a free warm environment but most importantly it provided wonderful company with everyone getting along famously, in challenging times. It was a huge testament of the compassion our community that remarkably many other local organisations provided a warm space for remaining four and half days of each week.

The warm space initiative is known locally as the Cosy Club and will recommence weekly from the 30.10.23, in the Venue Suite (first floor Of Maghull Town Hall), between 13:00 hours and 15:30 hours. Further information can be obtained on 0151 526 3705.

Finally, we are enormously grateful to Richard, Rachel, and Angela from Sefton CVS for the provision of the grant, despite our application being delayed in their spam filter.

Many thanks from an immensely grateful community,

FOMD
