Between 2021/23 the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) have planted 4,518 trees near roads, in the form of woodland and hedging as part of 16,000 planted throughout Maghull and supported by Mersey Forest, Sefton Council, Aldi & Persimmon free trees, including others from The Woodland Trust, The Conservation Volunteers and the Tree Council.

On recent inspection the trees are looking incredibly healthy (doubled their height!) following regular maintenance work by FOMD.

Massive Planting Programme in Maghull Needs Your Support.

FOMD is only a small group, and our success has been achieved by bringing the community together. Consequently, we need everyone to register their interest for a massive tree planting program later in the year by sending your contact details to admin@fomd.co.uk so we can get in touch with drop in planting dates between December and March. Please help our community to continue making a difference to our environment and do our bit for climate change.

Huge thanks,

FOMD

Together Making Maghull a better place to live.
