Between 2021/23 the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) have planted 6090 trees in green spaces and parks, in the form of woodland and hedging as part of 16,000 planted throughout Maghull and supported by Mersey Forest (£40,000 grant) and free trees, including others from The Woodland Trust, The Conservation Volunteers and the Tree Council.

On recent inspection the trees are looking incredibly healthy (three/four times higher!) following regular maintenance work by FOMD.

Massive Planting Programme in Maghull Needs Your Support.

FOMD is only a small group, and our success has been achieved by bringing the community together. Consequently, we need everyone to register their interest for a massive tree planting program later in the year by sending your contact details to admin@fomd.co.uk so we can get in touch with drop in planting dates between December and March. Please help our community to continue making a difference to our environment and do our bit for climate change.

Huge thanks,

FOMD

Together Making Maghull a better place to live.
