Your Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) have another one-hour session, that you can simply drop into without any commitment, to help make a positive difference to yourself and the local environment.

On Saturday (20.1.24) our Stage One renovation will continue by removing Ivy and Litter in the Dell (adjacent to the Hare and Hounds Pub) which we hope will be turbocharged soon with the voluntary support of some amazing local professionals.

We will be meeting at 10:00 hours. Please bring secateurs, lopping shears, saw or axe garden gloves, litter pickers. In preparation for Stage Two involving future green landscaping and planting to be completed before April.

Please check the events section of our website at www.fomd.co.uk for more info and any changes.

Looking forward to seeing you and wrap up well as there is a chance of some rain.

The last session on 13.1.24 was brilliantly attended and was our  11th consecutive one-hour sessions at the Dell and remarkably we have now collected 83 bin bags of litter, a huge array of debris and 20 (even more not bagged!) agricultural bags of tree and wall damaging Ivy, receiving some wonderful feedback and clearly seeing the difference every time we are there.

Huge thanks to: Ken, Diane, Jorden, Joanne, (Main Picture L to R), Paul and John, Chris (B) and Chris (R) and not pictured Rebecca and Frank, for removing further ivy from several more tree trunks, litter picking five bin bags, removing brick debris, resulting in two agricultural bags of Ivy.

Dell Update: having consulted over three years to provide green improvements, we are now waiting with great anticipation for the imminent feedback from the landscape architect’s planning approval.
