The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) were kindly joined by Michelle and Christine today for a one-hour revisit of our original green transformative project on the Parkbourn Estate, in which we changed an historic grot-spot into a much visited oasis (2019).
We made a fantastic dent into our prewinter tidy up by
- Strimming the wildflower triangle, leaving the cuttings for a week to enable the seeds to drop.
- Weeding the wood chip path.
- Replacing the unsuccessful grass roof of the bug hotel with donated recycled artificial grass.
- Cutting back some low-lying obstructive branches on the path entrance.
- We managed to fill a large agricultural bag with vegetation for the recycle centre.
