Doesn’t Get Much Better: One Hour to Make Maghull a Better Place followed by a Well-Earned Royal Brew!
10 August 2023 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
| FreeThis month, the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) are focusing on our ongoing ‘One Hour open invitation initiative’, to ‘Make Maghull a Better Place’, by finishing off some light weeding in a beautiful never-ending border we created at the Woodend Community Woodland Project.
If you can spare just one hour to drop in, the FOMD would love to see you on Monday (7.8.23) 0930hrs and Thursday (10.8.23) 0930hrs, at our Woodend Community Woodland Project (Bobby’s Wood) on the junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway L31 7BG. There is no commitment, you can do as long or as little as you wish, but you will really help to make a big difference.
We are also attending our first Maghullfest, with a small stall, on Saturday (12.8.23) between 11:00 hours and 16:00 hours at KGV Playing Fields. Come along and find out what we get up to and share some of your ideas for the future.
Please bring gloves, large and small garden forks, and confirm times at www.fomd.co.uk/events
Many thanks and please spread the word to anyone who might be interested.

Pictured: Huge thanks to Joan and Irene (25.7.23) after our one hour weeding session, we had a well-earned brew and a catch up on the Coronation picnic area. 24 agricultural bags of weeds now removed since the beginning of June.
